Brand-new website; project included initial planning, design, and hosting (site is no longer live).

CHALLENGES:

• New Voices School is a planned resource for children in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill (Triangle) area who have mobility and/or communication challenges. Therefore, the website design had to be sensitive to these children and their parents.
• The website had to show photos of "typical" children that might attend the school.
• The website had to be handicapped (visual or hearing impairment) friendly.

W3Design SOLUTIONS:

• W3Design used colors and an interesting design layout to engage visitors.
• W3Design used photos of children on website to which potential students and their parents can relate.
• W3Design followed all guidelines for Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act to make website accessible to both visually and hearing impaired users.
• W3Design employed cascading style sheets (css) so that the website style and colors can be easily updated.
